NOV 05, 2004 (newstodate): From next summer, Finnair will reduce flying time between Hong Kong and Helsinki by four hours on three additional weekly MD-11 flights.
The enhanced service from May 30 to August 31, 2005, is brought about by cutting out the current intermediary call at Singapore that will be retained on the airline's other flights between Hong Kong and Helsinki.
Total flying time will be about 10 hours on the new summer service that will connect with Finnair's European network to further boost the airline's competitiveness in the market.
