NOV 09, 2004 (newstodate): Lithuanian Airlines is planning for expansion in 2005, including adding new aircraft and destinations.
-We plan to take in two more Boeing 737 aircraft at the beginning of the new year, and work has started to recruit new cockpit crew to meet demands from new flights and capacity increases on ecxisting ones, says Giedrius Sniukas, Lithuanian Airlines press spokesman.
According to Mr Sniukas, the airline plans to open flights to Barcelona in 2005, and is also working on "yet another" new destination to be published later.
Lithuanian Airlines currently operates a fleet of five Boeing 737 and three Saab 2000 aircraft.
