NOV 02, 2004 (newstodate): The Serbia and Montenegro Air Traffic Services Agency Ltd will apply to the EBRD and the European Investment Bank for a loan to finance the modernisation of its core air navigation infrastructure.
The proposed project has a total estimated cost of over EUR 100 million.
The proposed projects includes a modern ATM Data Processing System to be located in the area control centre Belgrade building. As the part of the same DPS, Podgorica Terminal Area Centre will have remote working positions.
Also comprised by the plans are a simulator centre, an aeronautical info centre, communication systems and navaid systems including ILS at three locations and DME at eight
locations. A centralized remote control and monitoring system for all new and several existing NAVAIDS will be implemented.
Also included are new radar systems, AWOS systems, and refurbishment or rebuilding of the airport ATC towers at Belgrade and Podgorica airports.
