NOV 02, 2004 (newstodate): Despite SWISS' route reductions in several markets, SWISS WorldCargo still manages to consolidate and even expand its activities in the coming winter program.
The SWISS European network now somprises 43 destinations in 22 countries, while SWISS intercontinental services operate to 27 points in 19 countries. The addition of Alicante in Europe and its retention of cargo services to Karachi raise the total number of points served by Swiss WorldCargo from the 70 of the summer schedules to 71, the company says.
New departure times have been introduced for services to Budapest, Copenhagen, Manchester, Warsaw, Prague and Geneva, while frequencies have been increased on the London City, Manchester and Prague routes.
The new winter schedules offer direct SWISS and Swiss WorldCargo services to 43 European destinations from Zurich, 14 from Basel and nine from Geneva.
