NOV 15, 2004 (newstodate): Uzbekistan's Tashkent Aircraft Assembling Factory has been poised for privatisation.
The factory is today owned by the state holdling 51 percent of the shares, the Agency of Foreign Economic Contacts and Uzbek National bank of Foreign Economic Activities with 6.7 percent each, while employees hold the remaning 10 percent.
Potential bidders must file their intentions to participate in the tender before January 10, 2005.
Among the aircraft produced at Tashkent Aircraft Assembling Factory are the IL-76, IL-114, and wings for the AN-70.
