DEC 06, 2004 (newstodate): The issue of airlines changing airports in Moscow is a long-term and complicated processs.
-We are aware that quite a number of Western and other airlines are considering moving their operations to Domodedovo Airport, reflecting this airport's reputation for modern, efficient and customer-oriented services. But the process involves many aspects, says Julia Mazanova, Eastline Group head of PR dept.
-We are in dialogue with several potential customers, and do expect more news to break in this field. But for instance in the case of British Airways, that moved from Sheremetyevo to Domodedovo, the process took more than one year to finalise, she says.
-Passengers' needs for transfer options, and airlines' commitments to and cooperation with partner airlines also make things complex.
-In all cases, negotiations are most specific and aimed at solving the individual potential airline customer's concrete needs, also bearing on specific staff training, a unique info-infrastructure and a wide range of other topics, crucial to the airline and its customers, says Mrs Mazanova.
