DEC 13, 2004 (newstodate): Former Soviet military AFB Modlin, in central Poland, may resurface as Warsaw's second international airport in 2005.
Among the elements in the business plan for the airport, still partly owned by Polish military, is facilities for air cargo operations, and a master plan includes medium sized cargo facilities with direct access to railways and highways, and reserved sites for other potential industrial and semi-agricultural processing works.
Low-cost operator Ryanair has reportedly also been showing interest in considering flights at Modlin Airport.
