DEC 01, 2004 (newstodate): From December 15, Latvian SAS-owned carrier airBaltic will operate direct flights from Riga to St Petersburg.
This will be the 21st direct route for airBaltic from its hub in Riga, and the second route to Russia.
The flights, operated with airBaltic's Fokker F50 aircraft, will be code-shared with Pulkovo Airlines.
During 2004, airBaltic has opened nine new direct routes from Riga and 11 from Vilnius.
In addition to the new route to St Petersburg, airBaltic operates a route network comprising flights to Amsterdam, Berlin, Brussels, Dublin, Hamburg, Helsinki, Kiev, Copenhagen, Cologne, London, Manchester, Moscow, Milan, Minsk, Oslo, Stockholm, Stuttgart, Tallinn, Vilnius and Vienna.
