DEC 22, 2004 (newstodate): Boeing has landed a contract with Japan Airlines for delivery of 30 7E7 Dreamliners plus options for additionally 20 aircraft.
The aircraft are slated for delivery from 2008, where they will replace the airline's current fleet of Boeing 767 and Airbus A300-600.
The latest Dreamliner order brings the total log to 112 aircraft, including 56 under firm contracts, ordered by ANA, Air New Zealand, Blue Panorama, First Choice and Primaris Airlines in addition to JAL.
Boeing has earlier declared 200 aircraft as being the target for 2004.
Boeing launched the 7E7 in April. Production will begin in 2006. First flight is expected in 2007 with certification, delivery and entry into service in 2008
