DEC 06, 2004 (newstodate): From December 25, Siberia Airlines will further expand its German route network.
The new route will connect Hannover and Chelyabinsk that is being built up as a new hub for the airline.
Germany is already the airline's single most important market outside Russia, generating more than 226,.000 passengers in 2004 - up 39 percent on last year.
The airline opened its first route to Germany in 1991, as charter flights between Novosibirsk. From 1994, these turned into scheduled flights under Aeroflot's name, but in 1996 Siberia Airlines opened its own office in Germany, and initiated flights under own name from 1997.
In 2004 alone, the airline has opened flights on routes Moscow-Stuttgart, MoscowLeipzig, Omsk-Munich, Barnaul-Munich, NovosibirskMunich, and KemerovoHannover, and daily flights between Frankfurt and Moscow were also initiated.
