FEB 16, 2004 (newstodate): Debt-ridden airline Air Kazakhstan has announced its last flight to take place on the the route Pavlodar-Kostanai-Hanover on February 29.
The route is the airline's last remaining service, while in 2003 it served 20 domestic and CIS routes in addition to 33 international routes with a total of 33 aircraft, carrying 648,488 passengers.
According to reports, lease obligations since 1999 for two Boeing 737 and two Airbus A310 aircraft have added to the financial plights.
Since 2003, Air Astana has conquered a significant part of the Kazakh market for air transportation, changing the market situation in the country significantly.
