FEB 25, 2004 (newstodate): Even if Lithuanian forwarding company Arijus emerged from the Air Lithuania tender as highest bidder, the process still requires a few steps to be completed.
-It will still require one or two months before the process is finally concluded, says Armis Valiulis, Arijus general director.
Mr Valiulis says Arijus, basically a forwarding company, is actively building itself to become rather a forwarding and transportaion group, having already takin on a container shipping line, and considering Air Lithuania be yet another step in this strategy.
-We will develop Air lithuania further as basically a passenger airline, but air cargo will of course also be taken into consideration, he says.
After the eventual take-over, the new owner of Air Lithuania will add new destinations to the airline's network
