FEB 24, 2004 (newstodate): Problems with implementation since February 10 of a new Unisys-based cargo management system, Sirius have seriously impacted the cargo flow through SAS Cargo's terminal at Copenhagen Airport.
According to a source in one of the major airline handled by SAS Cargo at Copenhagen, airline staff have been forced to go through the terminal manually to identify shipments for loading on departing aircraft, and both imports and exports are seriously hampered.
Pressure is also building on the forwarders' associations to manifest the industry's dissatisfaction with SAS Cargo's performance, and demand measures to speed up remedial action by the handling company.
