FEB 18, 2004 (newstodate): In 2003, Oslo Gardermoen Airport saw a six percent increase in total cargo volumes, aggregating 52,928 tonnes.
International air cargo increased by 16 percent to 42,824 tonnes, of which air cargo exports were up no less than 23 percent, to 23,050 tonnes, while imports grew by eight percent to 19,774 tonnes.
During the same period, domestic cargo dropped by 23 percent to 707 tonnes.
In December volume growth was less spectacular, up only two percent to 4,548 tonnes.
Through the year, March and September performed the best, both up 26 percent thanks to international exports that rose by 42 and 38 percent, respectively.
