MAR 09, 2004 (newstodate): Air India celebrated the International Women's Day with a flight between Mumbai and Melbourne piloted by an all-women cockpit crew.
On the ground, the flight was handled by a female dispatcher, while the on-board safety audit was also put into the hands of a female quality manager.
Air India currently employs 17 women pilots, the airline says.
