MAR 10, 2004 (newstodate): CCA, the Cool Chain Association, and Germanischer Lloyd have now set their Guidelines for Temperature Measurement of Individual Perishable and Temperature Sensitive Shipments.
At the last meeting of CCAs Hamburg Committee on March 5, 2004 it was decided that all shipments, where practical, are to be measured on the middle point at anyone side of the shipment, five centimetres into the shipment.
The joint guidelines will eventually comprise a comprehensive set of standard aiming at obtaining general acceptance in the industry, and by relevant international bodies.
