MAR 24, 2004 (newstodate): Finland's air cargo volumes are expected to increase by 5.5 percent annually during the period 2003-2009, slightly below the world's average.
According to a market analysis prepared for Lufthansa Cargo, Finland generated a total of 62,482 tonnes of air cargo in 2003.
Of this total, Asia/Pacific contributed 24.6 percent, Europe 33.2 percent, and the North Atlantics 30.5 percent.
This year Finland is expected go generate a total of 66,054 tonnes of air cargo, increasing to 86,306 tonnes in 2009.
