MAR 31, 2004 (newstodate): Swedish airport Gothenburg Landvetter is in for a record year as cargo traffic is booming after increasing volumes of Polar Air, Emirates SkyCargo and other freight operations.
In January and February the airport generated a total of 9,667 tonnes of airfreight, up 31.3 percent on last year.
International freight rose 15.2 percent in January to 4,077 tonnes, and by 49.3 percent in February, to 5,452 tonnes.
