MAR 16, 2004 (newstodate): Originally slated for launch by February and later postponed several times, a new route to serve Norwegian exporters of fresh fish for Japan and the Far East is still not secured.
First conceived as an air route out of Swedish airport Kallax via the new air lanes through northern Russia's airspace, the concept later changed into a route from Kallax into Polar Air's hub at Liege from where the shipments would be taken on the carrier's existing route network.
-The project is still alive, we are in dialogue with Polar Air Cargo and Norwegian exporters, but a launch has still not been settled, says a source within the project.
