MAR 17, 2004 (newstodate): Egyptian company Sirocco Aerospace International expects China to take in its first five Tupolev Tu-204 aircraft this year, with delivery times yet to be announced.
Sirocco is a nimority owner in both Tupolev that designs and Aviastar that produces the aircraft.
Sirocco is projecting to sell 15 aircraft within the next two years, eventually building up to its annual capacity of 72 Tu-204s.
The contract with Chinese operators was signed in 2001 for the five aircraft, with provisions for additionally 10 aircraft.
