APR 05, 2004 (newstodate): In March, KLM Cargo saw its traffic up by 11 percent, on a seven percent higher capacity leading to an improved overall load factor at 77,4 percent, up 2.8 percentage points.
The positive development continues to be driven by the Asia/Pacific routes, where traffic was up 31 percent, while capacity increased by 26 percent as the company's third Boeing 747-400ERF freighter was introduced. Load factor on this segment increased by 3.6 percentage points to a high 88.0 percent.
North Atlantic traffic also improved in result at capacity was cut by 13 percent while traffic decreased 11 percent forcing load fact up by 1.6 percentage point to 75.4 percent.
