APR 05, 2004 (newestodate): Swiss budget airline Helvetica plans soon to increase its aircraft fleet.
Currently operating a fleet of four Fokker F-100s and one MD-83 aircraft, Helvetica will take in a further three Fokker F-100 aircraft by the end of June.
The fleet expansion is driven by Helvetica's increasing route network not wet to comprise 14 destinations in seven countries after a decision to add more Spanish destinations from this summer.
Helvetica is now Switzerland's second largets scheduled airline.
