APR 19, 2004 (newstodate): JAT, together with its consultant Lufthansa Consulting, is working on a new strategy for the airline.
Part of these efforts is a strategic decision on the airline's future aircraft fleet.
During the last few years, the airline has succesfully operated a number of wet-lease agreements with African customers utilising two Boeing 727, one DC-10 and six DC-9 aircraft, but these aircraft will be phased out as they are returned by their users.
JAT also operates three ATR-72, 10 Boeing 737-300, and three Boeing 737-400 aircraft
