APR 23, 2004 (newstodate): From 2003 to 2009, the Baltic region's export airfreight is expected to grow by 5.1 percent anually.
According to a market analysis produced for Lufthansa Cargo, the Baltic contries generated a total of 4,206 tonnnes of export air cargo in 2003. This volume is expected to rise to 5,675 tonnes by 2009.
In 2003, 58.9 percent of the total tonnaged ws dstined for Europe, with exports over the north Atlantic came second with a share of 27.1 percent.
Volumes for Asia/Pacific took only a meagre share of 7.8 percent.
