APR 01, 2004 (newstodate): Ahead of its first flight out of Warsaw, slated for May 2, Slovenian budget airline SkyEurope announces further moves in the Polish market.
Initially SkyEurope Airlines will start its direct flights from Warsaw to Vienna-Bratislava and Budapest, but the airline is currently talking to other Polish airport to further bolster its position in the market.
To serve its ex-Poland routes, SkyEurope will base "several" of its current total of 13 aircraft in Poland, besides investing USD 20 million to build up its Polish business.
From June 14, SkyEurope will add new daily flights from Warsaw to London, Paris and Amsterdam, and from October 8, SkyEurope will extend its route network from Warsaw by adding further new destinations including Rome, Milan and Zurich.
