APR 13, 2004 (newstodate): Sweden's airfreight export volumes are to grow by 5.3 percent annually during 2003-2009, according to a recent analysis.
In 2003, Sweden generated a total of 132,686 tonnes of airfreight, and this will rise to 183,759 tonnes in 2009, the analysis says.
In 2003, 40.4 percent of the total volume, or 43,443 tonnes, comprised airfreight destined for North Atlantic routes. Next in volume came Asia/Pacific with 32.5 percent, followed by Europe with 14.2 percent.
