MAY 06, 2004 (newstodate): Despite gloomy market conditions, German-owned aircraft leasing company Bouillioun ended 2003 on a high note.
According to the company, Bouillioun delivered 11 new and nine used aircraft during 2003, in addition to extending lease arrangements for another 16 aircraft with existing customers.
Bouillioun was also selected by Abbey National to manage their portfolio of 30 aircraft acquired through its purchase of the Amsterdam-based IEM Airfinance, including Boeing 737 and Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft.
Among the new lessees in 2003 were Sterling in Scandinavia, but also on the list of customers are Finnair, LOT, Tarom, and Transavia Airlines.
-Boullioun is very committed to European companies. In fact, as of Dec. 31, 2003, we had a 54 percent lessee concentration in Europe, says John R. Willingham, Bouillioun CEO.
In February, 2004, Bluebird Cargo signed a lease with Boullioun Aircraft Services for a B757-200 freighter, to be delivered in May of 2004.
