MAY 18, 2004 (newstodate): Boeing is said to be targetting budget airlines for bids on the 7E7 Dreamliner.
The low-cost airlines, already among Boeing's most succesfull operators of the Boeing 737 classic and New Generation aircraft, will gain by considering adding the 7E7 as this aircraft will allow them to expand into the regional and mid-range sectors of the market, Boeing claims.
So far Japanese carrier ANA remains the sole 7E7 customer, having announced an order for 50 aircraft.
