MAY 06, 2004 (newstodate): Embraer predicts the world aviation market to require some 8,450 new 30-120 seat aircraft between 2004 and 2023.
The company's forecast concludes that 10,000 aircraft in these segments will be flying by 2023.
The 61-90 seat segment will account for 25 percent of all operational aircraft in 20 years, up from the current 15 percent .
During the forecast period, North America will remain the single largest market for new aircraft of this type, accounting for 56 percent of all deliveries.
Counted together, Europe, Africa and the Middle East will take 1,970 deliveries, or 23 percent of the total. The region will have 14 percent of the smallest aircraft, 29 percent of the 61-90 seaters, and 26 percent of the larger aircraft type.
