MAY 26, 2004 (newstodate): A consortium of UK and other companies plan to set up a new airline, FlyBosnia based at Sarajevo.
According to a company spokesman, the new airline aims at introducing its first flight on June 26 between Sarajevo and London Gatwick.
-One of the companies on the consortium is actually an aircraft operator that plans to station one Boeing 737 aircraft in Sarajevo, the spokesman says.
The route may be operated with Boeing 737-300 or -700 or -800 aircraft, depending on the market demand including large ethnic groups in the UK.
Plans are also to add Manchester to the route, flying Manchester-London-Sarajevo, he says.
