MAY 05, 2004 (newstodate): Iran's indigenous regional aircraft, Iran 140 compares favorably to the ATR, say Iranian guests at the recent inauguration of new Tehran airport's runway.
Invited guests were flown from the current to the new Tehran Airport in two planes, and changed seats on the return flight to compare aircraft qualities.
Comments from unnamed passengers laud the Iran 140 for lower cabin noise levels, more advanced navigation and safety systems, highly competitive pricing, and systems that generally match Iran's demanding climatic conditions better than do those of the ATR.
