MAY 25, 2004 (newstodate): Lithuanian Airlines is preparing a second attempt of privatisation after its first efforts failed in April last year.
Last year, the initial bidders withdrew one by one, and the airline had to cancel the process.
Since the, the airline group has sold off several assets, including its subsidiary Air Lithuania, so the assesment of its value will have to be reviewed leading to a lower price in any case.
SAS was the last bidder to withdraw last time, and the airline has recently reiterated its intention of playing a leading role in the Baltic region's airline industry.
