MAY 27, 004 (newstodate): In April, the focus of Norway's export airfreight on IATA carriers was clearly on China, according to CASS Nordic figures.
The volume of IATA freight to China was up by 163.3 percent, to 1,178 tonnes, constituting 23 percent of the market's total volume in April.
559 tonnes was destined for Hong Kong, 208 tonnes for Shanghai, 157 tonnes for Guangzhou, 140 tonnes for Beijing, while Taipei in Taiwan took in 103 tonnes.
The commodity exported was as usual Norwegian fresh salmon that is, however, also airlifted on non-IATA carriers outside the countings of IATA CASS Nordic.
