MAY 24, 2004 (newstodate): Singapore Airlines Cargo has dediced to become a full member of Cargo 2000.
Cargo 2000 members are now certified at more than 250 locations worldwide. One or more members are measuring service performance in accordance with Cargo 2000s quality system in 65 cities across the globe and across 4,000 individual tradelanes compared to 400 a year ago. The number of Master air waybills being measured by the group is now 47,000 per month, equal to some 180,000 House waybills.
-Cargo 2000 provides a common platform of service quality and standards between the airline and forwarder. This common platform is vital in driving efficiencies and improvements for all participants in the supply chain, says Hwang Teng Aun, President of Singapore Airlines Cargo.
