JUN 03, 2003 (newstodate): The Airbus A320 family aircraft residual value has not been adversely affected by the post-9/11 airline bankruptcies, according to Airbus.
-Out of a total of 128 A320 family aircraft grounded by these airline bankruptcies, 125 are now flying with 40, including 24 new operators, says Stuart Mann, Airbus director product marketing A320 Family.
Mr Mann says the market base for the A320 has thus even been widened in the process.
-We therefore conclude that contrary to some speculative rumours, the residual values of these aircraft have been maintained at unchanged high levels, says Stuart Mann.
