JUN 24, 2004 (newstodate): In May Czech airline CSA took possession of its first two new ATR 42-500 aircraft, and they have now been installed on their routes primarily to neighbouring Slovakia and Germany.
CSA plans to acquire its third aircraft later this year, and the airline will then have five ATR 42-400 and four ATR 72-202 aircraft. The turbo-fleet modernisation programm will be completed by 2007.
This year CSA fleet will take in eight new aircraft, increasing the total number to 43 aircraft.
In this summer's program, CSA operates to 74 destinations in 44 countries worldwide with a fleet comprising 38 aircraft.
