JUN 21, 2004 (newstodate): The Libyan state has decided to inject up to USD one bio in new aircraft for its state airline, Libyan Arab Airlines.
The airline plans to acquire 22 new aircraft in all categories.
Talks have now started with all aircraft manufactureres including Boeing, Airbus, Embraer and Bombardier.
The airline currently operates a fleet of Airbus A300-600ER and Airbus A310, but also ageing Boeing 707, 727 and Fokker F28 aircraft.
