JUN 15, 2004 (newstodate): ZAO Raiffeisenbank, Russia, Bombardier Aerospace, and the EBRD have joined forces behing a USD 60 mio aircraft finance facility aiming at boosting Bombardier regional aircraft in Russia.
Leaning on this finance facility, Russian airlines and providers of aircraft services in Russia may acquire second-hand Bombardier aircraft.
As one of impacts of the decision, the introduction of modern aircraft will allow selected regional airlines to expand their existing networks and schedules. This will confer them a competitive advantage, through the operation of more reliable, efficient and comfortable aircraft and will contribute to the on-going consolidation in the airline sector, says EBRD.
