AUG 13, 2004 (newstodate): After the pull-out from the routes between Denmark and the Faroe Islands by Maersk Air from end of October, Atlantic Airways will assess the situation carefully to secure the service as sole operator.
-We cannot know if we will actually be alone on the route, or if another party may step into the market, but if we will be alone to serve the market we will see to it that the capacity as it is today will remain available, says Magni Arge, Atlantic Airways CEO.
As for aircraft capacity Mr Arge sees no problems during the winter or shoulder seasons, while frequencies might be added during the summer, requiring no expansion of the airline's fleet now comprising three British Aerospace BAe 146-200.
