AUG 12, 2004 (newstodate): Danish airline Maersk Air has entered an agreement with Danish regional carrier Cimber Air that will take over from October 31, 2004, Maersk Air's flights at Billund Airport.
The routes concerned are the routes to Oslo, Stockholm, Bruxelles, Milano, Munich and Aalborg, operated with Maersk Air's fleet of CRJ200 aircraft.
The move will top off Maersk Air's plans to operate an all-Boeing 737 fleet of aircraft in order to streamline operations and costs.
Maersk Air now operates five CRJ200 aircraft in addition to the five CRJ200 aircraft taken back from Duo Air in the UK and now in the process of being sold to a leasing company.
One of these ex-Duo Air aircraft is already being integrated into the fleet of Slovenian carrier Adria Airways under a lease agreement.
