AUG 26, 2004 (newstodate): By the end of October, UK-based transport and logistics provider, Skyroute Logistics plans to start a new weekly freighter operation from Luxembourg into Kazakhstan.
The planned route will be a "through" service from Luxembourg via Dubai to Kazakhstan destinations Aksai, Aktau, Aktyubinsk, and Atyrau.
-From there, onward transportation by IL-76 or AN-12 freighter from various operators will take shipments to virtually any point in Kazakhstan in a flexible schedule as needed by the market, says Steve Matthews, Skyroute Logistics.
Skyroute operated a similar service until a few years ago based on carriage on passenger aircraft, in contrast to the new service that will be based on a Boeing 747 freighter from MK Airlines.
