SEP 17, 2004 (newstodate): Skyteam Cargo is an important asset to CSA Cargo, member of the alliance since April 24, 2001.
-We could not possibly secure the global branding of our products, or develop a full range of services based on our own limited resources, so we are indeed happy with being member of the Skyteam Cargo alliance, says Kamil slavik, CSA director Cargo, attending the ACF in Bilbao.
-With our membership we gain access to markets, and were are efficiently promoted in the market place. Skyteam members obtain efficient distribution of their cargo in our region, and we can offer the full range of destinations to our regional export customers, he says.
-Our role, then, is to continuously expand our regional services in the form of new air routes and new trucking routes to and from destination in the region.
-We work with a highly flexible concept in airfreight trucking, allowing us to adjust frequency and capacity in immediate response to concrete market demands, rathen than maintaining a fixed and rigid trucking scheme, he says.
Mr Slavik is seeing bright prospects ahead for the cargo business as international airlines are now increasingly targetting Prague as an important regional hub.
CSA Cargo is also evaluating subscribing to the services of GF-X, but no immediate decision will be taken on this issue, Mr Slavik says.
