SEP 07, 2004 (newstodate): On September 1, Poland became Eurocontrol's 34th member.
-With strong annnual traffic growth, averaging 7 percent a year between 1997 and 2003, expected to rise by around 18 percent this year and to stabilise at 6 percent a year by 2010, Poland is a crucial addition to the EUROCONTROL fold, says V�ctor M. Aguado, EUROCONTROL Director General.
In 1991 Poland became a member of the European Civil Aviation Conference, ECAC.
In 1996, a bilateral agreement was concluded relating to the European Air Traffic Control Harmonisation and Integration Programme.
Poland signed the Protocols relating to the EUROCONTROL revised Convention and the Accession of the European Community to the Organisation on 17 November 2003.
