SEP 28, 2004 (newstodate): From October 31, Riga will gain its first direct nonstop connection to New York as Uzbekistan Airways introduces its new service from Tashkent to New York via Riga.
The service will be operated twice weekly through Riga in both directions with one of the airline's three Boeing 767-300 aircraft.
