Jettainer, in the air since June this year only, purports to offer a full outsourcing of all ULD management to airlines.
-Our first airline customer is Lufthansa Cargo tht has entrusted us with the full management of their 27,000 ULDs serving more than 250 destinations, says Mohammed Ali Seifarri, Jettainer managing director.
-But as much as we hope to attract contracts with other major airlines, it remains crucial for us to highlight the relevance of our ULD outsourcing to even small, loval and regional airlines as well, he says.
-Managing a fleet of ULDs is a costly business to all airlines, and the cost burden may be even more heavy on smaller airlines, including managing the full logistics around a ULD fleet.
-We will therefore target the airlines in Eastern and Central Europe, Russia and the CIS states to present to them the potentials of oursourcing their ULD management in order to keep down costs and investments, and to gain added efficiency and access to capacity where needed, says Mr Seiraffi.
