SEP 27, 2004 (newstodate): Uzbekistan Airways has named Transnautic Aero its cargo agent in the German market.
Uzbekistan Airways operates from Frankfurt to Tashkent four times weekly, using A310 aircraft providing with frequent onward connections to Almaty, Ashkabad, Bishkek, Dhaka, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Seoul, Delhi, Sharjah and Osaka, and a number of Russian destinations including Omsk, Ufa, Chelyabinsk, Kazan and Krasnoyarsk.
German EGSAC-member Transnautic says it will use its fellow EGSAC members to sell Uzbekistan Airways' capacity over a wide area of Europe. EGSAC is now present at 34 locations in 17 countries.
-We expect the main traffic for Tashkent to come from the medical, pharmaceuticals and electronics sectors. There is no real concentration of business: most agents in Germany seem to have some traffic for this region, says Hendrik Boeyng, Transnautic General Manager.
