JAN 31, 2005 (newstodate): Bulgaria will switch on its new ATM systems from the end of February.
The systems, delivered by Italian provider Alenia Marconi and financed by EIB, will have the capacity to manage 500 flights daily and to handle up to 150 aircraft simultaneously.
The implementation further strengthens the ongoing efforts to streamline the joint ATM organisation in the region in order to boost capacity and enhance security.
