JAN 31, 2005 (newstodate): The Russian Emergency Situations Ministry has so far been operating 23 relief flights into the Tsunami disaster zones.
The latest operation took place this weekend when an IL-76 freighter was sent from Moscow's Ramenskoye military airport to Colombo with 30 tonnes of flour and eight diesel powerplants.
In total, the Ministry has now sent more than 522 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Thailand, Sri Lanka, and Indonesia.
