JAN 26, 2005 (newstodate): Russian helicopter operator UTair has won a UN tender for providing the UN peacekeeping mission in Ivory Coast with transportation services.
Under the two-year contract, four UTair Mi-8MTV helicopters started operations on January 25, 2005.
18 UTair helicopters are currently providing transportation services to UN peacekeeping missions in Liberia, Sierra Leone, Congo, Eritrea and the Ivory Coast.
The fleet of UTair, the world's largest helicopter operator, totals 283 aircraft, including 174 helicopters.
