Nov 2, 2005 (newstodate): Afghan carrier Ariana Airlines has placed an order with Boeing for delivery of four new aircraft.
Ariana will take four Boeing 737-700 aircraft, to be delivered in 2008.
In addition, the airline has signed a lease agreement with Boeing Capital Corporation for lease of two second-hand Boeing 757-200 aircraft that will join the fleet by the middle of this month, already.
Ariana Airlines currently operates 16 international routes with new destinations in the UK and added frequencies in the pipeline once the increased aircraft capacity becomes available.
